Glad you were able to find a good childrens dentist. Many childrens can be afraid of the dentist because they see them as strangers that they do not initially trust.

My 4 yr old just got diagnosed with SPD this past month. We have been struggling with this for so long. I have been doing tons of reading on top of the other things we are doing just to cope on a daily basis but it’s nice to know that we are not alone. There were some things that I honestly didn’t realize like the knife thing for my son who is sensory seeking. Who would have known? We’re also going to be tackling the homeschooling as well and I have to admit I don’t feel cut to do that job with a child who has SPD.

When I was a kid I was very paranoid of getting fillings that I did everything I could to avoid a cavity. It was probably a good thing too. I thought the dentist put the needle on the outside of the cheek to apply the novacaine. When I got my first cavity I was so relieved that they didn’t touch the outside of my face!

Yoga with the kids is a good idea…in fact, any exercise with your kids is a good idea. It helps to get them into the habit of exercising right from an early age – that way, they are less likely to become overweight, lazy adults.

We need more mothers to think like you…

Getting the kids exercising as well is a valuable learning session for them as well. If you can teach kids the value of exercise early and get them to do something fun at the same time, they will be lifelong exercisers.
