Daddy’s on vacation this week! I am so excited to spend a lot of time with him. We had a great day, and today was just the tip of the iceberg. I love intentionally making memories with my family.
We went to church, which was good for my soul and like a date for me and my hubby. (I just love being with my darling husband and my Lord at the same time!) When I have time with God, I am much more loving and kind to my family. I relish this time, and I know that I will always remember our times alone with my husband in church.
After church, we played with the kids in the backyard since it was such a beautiful day. While we were in the yard, we did some really fun school work as a family. We are currently supplementing Montessori school with home education and loving it. I appreciate the times that we can include Daddy in our learning, and I know that those lessons will more memorable for our children because Daddy was there.
We also baked an apple crisp with the apples we picked the other day. It was fun (and a little stressful) to bake with C4 and A2. They really love cooking and sampling the food later. It is something special that they do with their daddy, too. I want them to have things that that they share with their father, and I hope they all treasure the memories that they are making.
At the end of the day, we went for a family walk before bedtime. We were able to chat freely and I even told the kids a little about my parents and grandparents. C4 had lots of questions for me, too. A2 usually listens attentively never missing a thing. I know that both of the kids will remember the nights we went for our family walks. Hopefully, they will share their memories with their children.
Memory making is incredibly important. Sometimes memories need to be intentionally made and intentionally kept. Make a memory with your family!
